Inchcape Automotive INCAB Track & Trace System
Inchcape automotive, part of the Inchcape group of companies, is one of the largest vehicle transportation, refurbishment and storage companies in the UK transporting around 100 000 cars and vans for Ford, Peugeot, Renault, Fiat and Vauxhall as as for many large vehicle leasing companies.
Project background
Inchcape Automotive, given their size, face many challenges, the biggest being vehicle management and logistics. Inchcape Automotive commissioned Jade to provide an INCAB Track & Trace System, allowing for real-time coordination of drivers, proof of delivery and inspection of delivered / collected vehicles.
Specialist in mobility applications were developed in house and installed in Jade’s purpose built staging facility onto 400 Symbol PPT2837 GSM and GPRS hand held units before nationwide roll-out.

These technologies improved Inchcape Automotive effectiveness as a company – further development of automatic scheduling and load building applications has further enhanced the competitiveness of the company –who have recently invested in Symbol RF networking 
products and the latest PPT8846 Hand Held Unit.
